Who Will Have What Job When They Grew Up?

Tonight our family started a silly conversation at dinner time about who will have what job when they grew up. We asked everybody and had them write the choices on a chart. Here are the results:

  • Paul thought that Haley would be a volleyball player, a nurse, and a worship leader
  • Paul thought that Luke would be a football player, a sales rep., a landscaper in college, and a baseball coach
  • Paul thought that Ellie would be a swimmer, animal biologist, and a pianist
  • Tracie thought that Haley would be a volleyball player, a teacher and a guitar player
  • Tracie thought that Luke would be a baseball player, a video game designer, and a fashion model
  • Tracie thought that Ellie would be a swimmer, a zoo-logiest, and a dancer
  • Haley thought that Luke would be a football player, a lifeguard in the summer, a teacher of sled rides in the winter, and a model
  • Haley thought that Ellie would be a nutcracker dancer, a vet, and a community helper
  • Luke thought that Haley would be a track star, a animal rescuer, and a volleyball player
  • Luke thought that Ellie would be a dancer, a animal rescuer, and a swimmer
  • Ellie thought that Haley would be a volleyball player, a cheerleader, and a guitar player
  • Ellie thought that Luke would be a football player, a football coach, and a player of catcher

Decorating Time

Today we are going to decorate the tree with lights and ornaments. The fabfive kids drew straws to see who got to put the topper on. Haley had the longest, then Luke, and Ellie had the shortest straw. That was the order of who gets to do the topper. When Haley put the topper on the tree it  tipped towards her so now Paul and Tracie have to fix it.

Cutting Down Our Christmas Tree

READY TO CUT?!?

On November 29th, the fabfive family cut down there first tree together! We went to the Wilson Tree Farm to get it.  The "man in charge" gave us a really nice tour of what each kind of tree is. Then we set out trying to find a tree.

About 10 minutes later we found the perfect tree. We think it was a Douglas Fir. Everybody took turns cutting it. That was fun.

WATCH OUT FOR MY THUMB!!!

Next we went inside the gift shop to go get some hot cocoa, a candy cane and a ornament while the people who work there wrap up our tree. We had a very fun experience at that tree farm.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all.  We had a wonderful belated Thanksgiving today with our family (Ellie, Luke, Haley, Tracie and Paul)...along with Marcia, Don, Ben, Sue and Manny. Tracie made a full turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes and the works.  It was wonderful and a total hit!  (She's a great cook...along with being a babe.)

Welcome to our new family blog!
